AFL Europe’s Festival of footy is taking place today across Europe. The footy community will come together as usual to promote the game we love, and AFL Ireland is proud to be part of it.
Unfortunately our Round 7 fixtures have succumbed to the Covid restrictions put in place. As always, our main concern is wellbeing of all of our members so postponing games was the safest option
We will however see footy across the country with the Belfast Redbacks and Galway Magpies each having intra club games in their respective cities.
The South Dublin Swans will train in pods in Terenure while adhering to government guidelines.
Meanwhile in Cork, the Leeside Lions will take on the UCC Bombers in Ballycannon Park in what will be a fiercely contested affair.
